Meet The Team

Dr. John R. Anderson grew up in Kaysville, Utah.  He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Creighton University.  While there, he received many awards, including excellence in academic achievement and outstanding proficiency in dentistry for children.  After the four years at Creighton, Dr. Anderson continued his dental education at the University of Nebraska, specializing in pediatrics, and received his pediatric certificate in 1999.  After opening his practice in Farmington, Utah, Dr. Anderson completed the work necessary to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, meaning he is a board certified pediatric dentist.  He and his wife, Carrie, have 5 children: Sadie, Ammon, Libby, Samuel, and Jacob.  As a family they enjoy spending time together at Bear Lake and camping.  Dr. Anderson is a major supporter of the Boy Scout program.  He knows scouting helps all boys to learn skills that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.  He has earned his Eagle and Silver Beaver awards.  Dr. Anderson has a passion for helping children be the best they can be, and wants every child to have a healthy and beautiful smile.

Lindsay has been an assistant for Dr. Anderson since he opened Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics in 1999.  She has a son who has autism, so Lindsay has first-hand knowledge how to help children with special needs understand their dental visit.  Lindsay helps Dr. Anderson coach his soccer team.  She also likes to watch her children play their soccer games.

Silvia works with our parents and patients who speak Spanish, as she is fluent in that language.  Her specialty at Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics is helping you better understand your insurance plan and benefits.  With 15 plus years experience, and her infectious smile, she is ready and willing to help.  Silvia likes to go on walks and be with friends.

Zhauntae spent 4 years as a child care provider before coming to Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics.  Part of being a child care provider required her to complete 30 hours each year in continuing education.  With this knowledge, Zhauntae understands how to redirect a child’s focus when they are nervous.  Zhauntae loves to read and would one day like to write children’s books.

Jen has been with Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics since 2005.  She enjoys being around children so much that on her day off, she watches her nephew.  The best part of each day is when she’s helping a child to learn how to correctly brush and floss their teeth, or understanding that taking “pictures” (x-rays) is cool because you get to see the permanent teeth.  She also enjoys playing on her soccer team, and hiking and camping with her family.

Nycki enjoys the smiles the children at Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics show her after having their teeth cleaned.  She assists parents to understand the necessary treatment their child needs.  When a child or tween has questions about what’s going to happen today at the dentist, Nycki is there to explain.  She loves to travel.  A couple of her favorite places are Texas (to visit family) and Florida (to visit Disney World).  Her dream vacation would be to Australia.

Teriann started at Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics in 2000.  She enjoys each day because it’s never the same.  She has been an assistant since she was 16 years old.  At Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics, she is usually working on insurance claims, or on the phone in a back room and every once in a while gets to poke her head out.  Occasionally she gets to assist Dr. Anderson, or help a child floss and brush their teeth.  Seeing the child’s smile when they’re finished puts a smile on her face.  She goes down to St. George often to see her children and play with her grandchildren.

Latasha came to Pediatric Dental & Orthodontics after completing the Vista College of Dental Assisting.  Wanting to further her dental education, she continued her schooling, receiving her Registered Dental Assistant certificate in 2009.  This additional education helps her to recognize and understand children’s fears and to help them have a positive dental experience.  Latasha enjoys bowling with her children, and dreams of having time to watch “I Love Lucy” reruns.

Kylee completed the Bridgerland Applied Technology dental assisting program in 2010.  She was in school for approximately 1 year.  Part of her education included going to different day cares and teaaching the children how to brush and floss their teeth corectly.  She also let them know how important it is to brush and floss every day.  Kylee takes her son to the park to feed the ducks.  However, she likes to let him stay home when she goes grocery shopping, so she can have some quality alone time.
